Dashboard stripped & primed

Stripped the dash and blasted the glove box and ash tray.  Hit them with a red scotchbrite and wax and grease remover.  After that, applied some DP90 expoxy primer (black) then good coat of sandable primer (gray).  Next is some wet sanding and color…stay tuned.

Dashboard

Pulled the dashboard to sandblast and paint.

Glove box trim

Painted the Glove Box trim Black with Chrome paint lettering/fish.  Not perfect, but the best I can do with my old eyes and small brush..

Dash bezel and Glove Box trim

Since the theme has turned into a candy red and gloss black… I sandblasted and cleaned the dash and glove box bezel.  They were worn out an either needed fixed or replaced.  In case you haven’t looked at the price of replacing the dash bezel recently, I decided to fix/paint them.  They will be gloss black with silver hightlights as seen by the Wiper piece.

Wheels/Tires combo…

Since I upgraded to front disks….none of my wheels had the 3 inch hub clearance required.. so I went with Cragar Black D-Window 15×7 wheels and Cooper Cobra 235/60 and 215/65 tires.
